Why You Should Teach Businesses Not To Buy Backlinks

Why You Should Teach Businesses Not To Buy Backlinks

Businesses rely heavily on their online presence to attract customers and generate revenue, therefore one important aspect of building a strong online presence is search engine optimization (SEO). SEO refers to the practice of optimizing a website’s content and structure to improve its ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs). One of the most important factors in SEO is backlinks or links from other websites that point to your website. Backlinks signal to search engines that your website is authoritative and trustworthy, and can significantly improve your website’s ranking on SERPs. However, not all backlinks are created equal, and buying backlinks can hurt your website’s ranking and reputation.

Buying backlinks involves paying for links to your website to be placed on other websites. The idea is that these links will signal to search engines that your website is authoritative and trustworthy, and will improve your website’s ranking on SERPs. However, buying backlinks is against the guidelines of search engines like Google, and can result in penalties that hurt your website’s ranking and visibility.

Here are some reasons why you should teach businesses not to buy backlinks:

  1. Buying backlinks is against the guidelines of search engines like Google.

Search engines like Google have strict guidelines that govern how websites should be optimized for search. These guidelines prohibit the use of spammy or manipulative techniques, including buying backlinks. If a website is found to be violating these guidelines, it can be penalized or even banned from search results altogether. Teaching businesses not to buy backlinks can help them avoid these penalties and maintain their search visibility.

  1. Bought backlinks are often low-quality and irrelevant.

Many websites that sell backlinks offer low-quality links from irrelevant or spammy websites. These links are unlikely to improve your website’s ranking and can hurt your reputation with search engines. By teaching businesses not to buy backlinks, you can help them focus on building high-quality, relevant links that will improve their SEO.

  1. Building high-quality backlinks takes time and effort, but is worth it in the long run.

Building high-quality backlinks is a long-term SEO strategy that requires time and effort. However, the benefits of high-quality backlinks can be significant, including improved search visibility, increased traffic, and higher conversions. By teaching businesses to focus on building high-quality backlinks through content creation, outreach, and relationship building, you can help them achieve sustainable, long-term SEO success.

Buying backlinks is a tempting shortcut for businesses looking to improve their SEO quickly. However, it is important to educate businesses on the risks and drawbacks of this practice. By focusing on building high-quality backlinks through content creation, outreach, and relationship building, businesses can achieve sustainable, long-term SEO success without risking penalties or damaging their reputation with search engines.

Blogs and SEO Link Wheels.

I cannot stress enough the importance of Blogs and SEO Link Wheels!

If you think of it this way if you only have one site, you have only one source of traffic.

Yes, you can perform SEO, marketing, advertising, and social media optimization but if you have one brand you could expand using keywords related to your business (Brand Name +Keyword).

To make your brand a household name you must do tonnes of advertising and marketing which can prove costly. Imagine having organic traffic for a fraction of the price. (I do not pay for advertising, and I have secured my global positioning, I am on the first page of Google for the search terms ‘UK Website Designers’ and ‘UK Domain Brokers’ plus many other keywords).

Having multiple blogs with exact match searchable keywords in your SEO Link Wheel is going to cost you less than traditional advertising.

Blogging helps your business grow in different ways. By having multiple blogs and adding them to your SEO Link Wheel you are essentially driving traffic from multiple directions.

Almost 4 billion people are connected to the internet worldwide, there is never a better time for companies to start blogging to enhance their lead generation strategies.

Blogging not only can help already established businesses it can also be the start of a side hustle and a second income for all of us.

You should always have a backup plan just in case something happens in your main job. You can theoretically start a business and generate work without the tedious journey of applying for second jobs and going to interviews. You can become your own boss. Imagine not having to answer to anyone, having to book days off, or traveling to work.

Earnings & Tax

If you are new to the game of blogging and you do start making money you must inform HMRC or the IRS that you are self-employed. Even if you buy and sell domain names you must let HMRC and the IRS know. In fact, if you buy and sell anything and do it on a regular basis you must declare your earnings. You will have to keep track of your revenue (your outgoings and income) and you will need to fill out a self-assessment form once a year.

Blogging does not have to take a lot of time, it all depends on how fast you want to launch your site. Once you have done the SEO and have enough articles under your belt you can then post a couple of times a week.

A blog post a day still gives you time to work and play.

If you are thinking of starting a side hustle, think of something you are truly passionate about, something that you feel you can share with the world, it could be a hobby or a craft.

You could also start a small business. A blog can be built around your interests. If you are not that good at writing invite guest bloggers to write on your site. Some guest bloggers will not charge and will simply be happy to get backlinks whilst others may charge a small fee.

Recent studies have shown that companies that prioritize blogging can expect 13 times more positive revenue.

It is important to note that blogging doesn’t only benefit big businesses but also small companies and new start-ups”.

Domain Names

Firstly, you need to choose a domain name for your blog. If you are an established business, choose a domain (brand name+ keyword).

If you are starting up choosing just your own personal name is all well and good, but if people have never heard of you, they are less likely to search for you or click on your blog. If anything, use (your name + keyword). I do have a blog that I call my online business card ( which I have shortened to ( and the shorter version forwards to the default domain). I use this site to direct people to my portfolio.

Domain names play an important part in brand credibility.

If you are a start-up and have decided on starting a website rather than a blog this will be your brand name (the mothership as I call it or the default site) where you can then branch out with an SEO Link Wheel and add multiple blogs. If you are just starting out, you want to choose a domain that truly reflects your overall business focus.

It is fundamental you perform SEO because without it you will not get indexed and ranked by search engines. You need to use a strategy by incorporating keywords that describe your brand or company within your metatags and body of your content. You will be able to establish an online presence quickly, providing you follow the steps to get your site launched.

When registering your domain name, try to register other TLD extensions so as to avoid cyber-squatters and spammers damaging your brand credibility. I try to in most cases register the dot com and also ( whenever possible. As an example, I have developed and the dot com is held hostage by a domainer, good luck to him selling the dot com because I will come after him/her with a UDRP if he/she does. For me, I use a sub-directory (pages) for my services and have used a sub-domain for my blog. What is good though is to have a separate blog for each service. For example, a person looking for content writing may not think to click my site UK Website Designers even though I do have a dedicated page. Sometimes it is better to add a completely independent site and link it to your website: (

With my blog for this site, I set up a sub-domain, I then actually regretted what I had done because it has made a long tail URL:

So I then forwarded the domain name to it. I, therefore, do not recommend sub-domains, because long tail URLs are a nightmare and will roll off your WordPress page in mobile view unless you make the text small or write a keyword and hyperlink it. I am using font size pt 12 for demonstration purposes of my long tail URLs.

Building A Brand

Your brand should distinguish you from all other businesses selling similar products and services. You should be the leader that makes your brand name stand out. For example, there can only be one ‘UK Website Designers’ or ‘UK Domain Brokers’, ‘UK Content Writers’, you get my drift. There are many brands trying to secure their global positioning, but the secret is in the domain name.

Your product or service must be of equal quality. You need to show you are producing good work and that your customers are satisfied. Your brand will show credibility and trustworthiness and is the driving force behind every campaign you create, and every product or service you launch.

Whether you are making a blog for your established business or starting out, a blog is an online journal that updates your audience. Your blog could be a tutorial or news site, it could be a directory or forum, and your blog could even have a shop.

Unlike websites that are basically online business cards, a blog has more options and flexibility. A website does nothing more other than describing the business, as well as advertise and sell your products and services in an e-commerce store, but it does not tell stories.

For your audience to buy from you, you must capture their attention. You need to write about things that relate to your brand, product, and service, you need to entertain your audience and make the content you are writing valuable.

In contrast, blogs delve deeper and are more helpful in showing who you are as a brand and not just what you are selling. With an exact match searchable keyword or phrase domain name and the help of your blog, you can share content and comment on industry trends, which reinforces your company’s authority.

Blogs allow your audience to engage in your platform to leave comments and suggestions. Blogs let users know about different topics of discussion. Your blog may have many categories and a search bar to find content quickly. Your blog should also have a subscribe option so that you can then build an email list and send the latest news and offers by email.

Blogs make your brand look more personal. It shows that you are human and more than a company selling products and that you are also reaching your audience and telling stories, through engaging content.

Build Brand Awareness

Your brand needs to secure global positioning to stand out in the industry. The more times your brand is mentioned the more likely it will be remembered, and this is where blogs come in handy to spread brand awareness. Each time you write a post, you are advertising your brand by sharing it on social media. In this era of saturated competition, it is important to make yourself look like an expert in your field to outshine the competitors.

With a well-written blog, you can easily attract your audience by providing quality content. If you entertain and teach your audience, they are more likely to come back and then buy your products and services. You need to show your readers that you are an expert so that customers feel safe to trust an expert company or service provider.

To stand out from the crowd you need to show you are a leader in your sector. It helps build a relationship of trust and credibility, thus, increasing the chances of building a firm foundation that people are compelled to come back to.

Organic Traffic

If you have an SEO link wheel of multiple blogs, you will fundamentally generate traffic from multiple directions to your (default website). There are many strategies for generating traffic but by far blogs are the ultimate force. By writing articles regularly and sharing them on social media, you will start to get free organic traffic in no time, which means that your audience will mostly contain people with a genuine interest in the product and service you are offering and writing about. Having a sound SEO strategy can help to attract new customers.

Link Building

Inviting guest bloggers to write on your blog and backlinking helps both you and the writer. Sharing your content on social media pages, groups and forums also helps to drive traffic. Unlike inbound linking, internal linking is something that you oversee. Inbound linking is where something you have published previously can be linked to your latest article on their site. Internal linking is a quick way to refer to another page, category, or article.

If you have multiple sites if say you cross-link an article you have written on one site and mention it on the other it all helps improve the success of your SEO and ranking. The more links you create inbound, outbound, or internal the higher you will climb and attract more potential leads and traffic.

There are 200 factors considered by the Google algorithm, with inbound links and backlinks being important. It is assumed by experts that backlinks are the 3rd most important search engine optimization strategy. In fact, 41% of experts say that building links is the most difficult part of SEO.  When you link a site for example Wikipedia which has high Domain Authority, you can set your blog to ping them when you have published your article. This then sends a signal (email) for them to look at your article and if they see it is relevant to their audience, may indeed give you a backlink back. I usually allow for pingbacks to high authority sites because search engine algorithms can then detect the link.

Creating articles that are relevant to your audience and to businesses that are considered industry leaders can help you gain more relevant links. If people engage in what you are writing and believe your content can help their readers, they will ask you to mention them. Creating links to authoritative websites or getting recommendations from other websites signals to search engines about your trustworthiness and expertise in your specific industry. Backlinks also help to rank you higher for MOZ DA where you build your domain authority, which also helps you improve your overall popularity in search engines.

Email Marketing

They say, “The money is in the list”, this means the more subscribers you have the more likely they will buy from you because they have shared their email addresses with you. They want your newsletters, updates, and offers. Email marketing is undoubtedly a strong marketing tool.

To get people to subscribe either you have to have really good content that your readers like and want more of, or you offer a free e-book or a gift in exchange for their email. People are more likely to trust your email newsletters if they think that your blog content is relevant, engaging, and, most importantly, informative.

Social Media

Spreading brand awareness is not only about social media, having your blog linked in your email signature, and wearing custom apparel all help with spreading the word. Apart from all the traditional methods of advertising and marketing, there are social media. I find that certain social media platforms perform better than others. Because I am a B2B service I find LinkedIn one of my favorite places to hang out on. I also have signed up for many pages and groups. Depending on the campaign and what I am promoting at the time, will depend on where I advertise. I very rarely use paid advertising because my exact match searchable keyword and phrases domain names usually are found on the first pages of search engines anyway, so I save myself money. Whenever I create a website or blog, I usually also create a Facebook Page to complement the default sites. I then link the pages to the sites.

A blog post is easy to share on social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Every time you create a blog post, you should share it on your best-performing social media platforms. This then allows your friend, family, and connections to share your content if they find it valuable.

Sharing your content; allows your audience to learn about you. For example, on LinkedIn, you have your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd connections, and depending on the settings people may see your content even though they are not connected with you. This is an assured way of gaining new clients. Sharing your content on social media also decreases your workload and you can share the same article across multiple platforms rather than writing new articles many times in a week.

When you first start out with blogging you need to put the work in to get traction. A blog is not miraculously going to get on the first page of Google without you doing some hard work. For the first month or so you need to build up your blog to have many categories and articles, a bare blog is boring. You also need to perform SEO (this is important).

I have found if I write a couple of articles a day and I manually upload each page (article) to Google they index and rank my articles relatively quickly. I once had an article indexed and ranked in six minutes in the past.

As your site becomes more established you can ease off slightly with the blogging. It is possible to take a break from your blog for days, the reason being blogs can have long-term results. If you have a niche blog that is already established there might be tonnes of information that the new reader may find informative.

People assume that a blog has a short life cycle but if the information on the blog is valuable if will earn its foothold for many years to come. Ranked blogs can get traffic for many years, providing there is ample content. Blogs can generate long-term results and help your brand get better recognition.

You have built your blog, and you are getting traffic, but you could also monetize your blog with affiliate links and adverting banners. If you use a third-party affiliate program you need to have a lot of traffic to your blog/articles to get a conversion. It is estimated that for every 100 visitors you will get 1 click at a ratio of 1% however the percentage varies between (0.5% – 1%) and even then after the cookies are placed on the reader’s computer which could be 30 -120 days if this person does not return to the advertiser’s site you lose out on the commission. In other words, to get say 10 clicks you should have 2000 visitors at a ratio of 0.5%.

Blogs By Industry.

(Put a Location+Keyword in your Domain Name or vice versa).

Domain Names Sellers Blog.

If you are selling domain names you could have an article for each domain name you are promoting. Not only will your domain name get eyeballs, but it will also help your blog with ranking. Share each article on social media business platforms, groups, and pages.

Simply listing your domain names on a blog and doing little else is not going to get your domain name found. Even the big marketplaces do not do any SEO and showcasing your domain costs money.

You need to put the domain name in the header title of your article and perform SEO.

I did read not so long ago that one does not need to do SEO by a very famous domain investor and I thought to myself he got lucky when he sold his domains for millions in the dot com boom era but he is certainly not an SEO expert hence why his own website is not on the first page of Google other than for his name, but not for the keywords (Domain Brokers, Domain Brokering, Domain Investing or Domain Selling), which proves my point, that your personal name unless someone actually knows you, will not be searched for. You need to be famous to rely on your name alone to sell your products and services. Do not hold all your eggs in one basket.

The World is Your Oyster.

Whatever you feel passionate about, you can develop just about any topic you feel comfortable writing. Having multiple blogs helps generate traffic and draws in loyal customers. If say you love fashion, then become a fashion influencer, or if you like traveling write about the different locations you have visited. If you are a food business, you could share recipes and tips. You could also write about hosting parties. The categories I have mentioned above should give inspiration and if you need help choosing a domain name or setting up a blog we are here on hand.

Blogging for Business

Blogging has many benefits, blogging can help to launch new products or campaigns, it also helps with brand awareness, and it drives organic traffic. Blogs can motivate and inspire people. Blogs let your visitors learn about you and your company and the products and services you provide. Blogs drive targeted traffic to the search terms used so that you have an intended audience for the product or service you are marketing and advertising.

Speculate to Accumulate

When selling domain names, the number of businesses that I have come across that simply say they are not interested before I can get a word in edgeways is unbelievable, they are usually too set in their way and think that their one and only website will suffice. But what if they could expand their SEO Link Wheel imagine how much traffic they could generate.

Blog Development

I believe a business that does not have the time or staff to undertake a project could hire a website designer or content writer to develop a blog or two for them. UK Website Designers can create blogs for £19.99 per month including domain name registration provided the domain name in question is available and not brokered. Please contact us regarding e-commerce sites.

When you have a store on your main website it would also be good to open integrated stores as additional income streams.

We will send you a “To Do List” free of charge when you subscribe to our mailing list. Remember, the more you invest in your company, the more you get in return.

Blogs are cheap to run if you do them yourself and they are not difficult despite first impressions. Once you get the hang of it there is no going back. A blog lets you stay ahead of your competition. It gets you followers and subscribers, and you can do a multitude of things with a blog from turning it into a directory, forum, or simply a place to showcase your products and services and write content about your niche.

Brand Identity

By far the most important part of blogging is brand identity. Choose your domains wisely.

We recommend (Brand Name + Keyword), or (Location+Keyword). Sometimes domains may not be available but if you do a little tweaking like (Keyword+Location), or (Keyword+Brand Name) you could possibly find a match. An example of a domain name I would love to have had would have been but a watch battery manufacturer acquired the domain name before I twigged so I have settled for Sometimes settling for second best is not that bad.

If you want help Designing your site, SEO, Marketing, Content Writing, or simply want some ideas, just drop us a line. Don’t forget if you subscribe or message us we will send you an ‘SEO To Do List’ free of charge.

Domain Name Content Writing:

I get asked to broker domain names and this is how I answer:

  1. Build Equity
  2. Design Branding
  3. Develop the domain name
  4. Search Engine Optimise (SEO) the domain name
  5. Use social media to market and advertise your domain
  6. Write regular content on your landing page
  7. Generate Organic traffic
  8. Get Your Domain on the First Page of Search Engines.
  9. Network with your connections
  10. Sell on Aftermarkets

When selling a digital asset such as domain name unless it is a one-word dot com the chances of it selling are slim, therefore you need to list your domain on aftermarkets and auctions where domain investors hang out but in most cases, your domains just stay stationary not doing anything.

Prior to optimising each domain name on my books I too am guilty of having a marketplace that simply showcased domain names and nothing more. I have since taken the app down. I now perform a more complex seo strategy that take a lot of time and effort which includes consistant articles about the keywords in question.

I will tell you the story of someone a few days ago who asked me to sell a (UK+Keyword) domain name. He came to me simply offering the domain name. It was not developed but simply mentioned on his landing page, the keywords were not even mentioned in his sub-directory and the domain was not generating traffic so I politely declined his offer.

I get it, I see that a domain name immediately is worth more the moment someone buys it because they will increase the value for a re-sell. So anyone saying but it was hand registered for says $10 then it must not be worth a cent more is mistaken. This is actually incorrect it was worth $10 when it was available, it is worth more now because it has raw equity and has an owner. If you wanted it for $10 you should have been quick off the mark and bought it when you had the opportunity, so now it is worth more.

Domain names, unless they have been branded, developed, are selling a product, selling advertising space or a service, or have financial private equity firms investing in them are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them.

As with everything in business, one needs to be consistent with marketing and advertising to get exposure. It does not matter if you are selling houses or cars you still have to advertise and you still have to do content writing.

How are people going to know your domain exists if it is simply listed on saturated aftermarkets?

The same goes with your website, business, product or services, how will people know you are trading if you do not put yourself out there?

If you cannot write content then hire a content writer, you can either hire us or hire someone off Fiverr, just follow the link below.

Keep your business moving forward

What is Content Writing.

Website Content Writing.

All businesses in all sectors need an element of content writing, from the content on their websites to their marketing and advertising campaigns. Not only this content writing is an every day occurrence within internal communications. You could employ a person specifically for the job or outsource the work per assignment/project.

To get your websites ranked you have to write content on a regular basis get backlinks and perform SEO, marketing, and advertising strategies. This is an ongoing task that has to be maintained regulary.

In reality, all businesses need content writers. Every business needs exposure and the only way they can get it is if articles are published mentioning them. All businesses should have a blog so that they can write about their products and services. Sometimes it is hard to churn out information hence why hiring a content writer eases the pressure and lets you get on with other things.

Depending on your budget and the cost of the campaign you may choose to use an advertising agency to write your content for you. Advertising agencies advertise your brand in editorials and online. The same goes with branding you need content writers to write your brochures and press releases. Usuallly you can find an agency that does all this and more so you do not have to outsource your work to multiple freelancers or companies. A good marketing agecy will take care of your website, adverting and marketing.

Selling Real Estate you have to design the promotional brochure create the text and write about the property you are selling. Physical Real Estate or Digital the same principle applies. You need to make your property appealing to entice prospective buyers.

What Is SEO?

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” SEO is the process of making sure that your website is indexed, and ranked and its content is easy to find in search results.

What Is SEO Writing?

SEO writing is a strategy used to promote you business, products and services, usually using multiple channels. This could be in the form of a n SEO Linkwheel, advertising and marketing on social media platforms, pages and groups aswell s networking.. A highly visible website with good content appears on the first few pages of results when someone searches for the keywords and phrases.

Why Is SEO Content Writing Important?

If you have just launched your business, your website may take anything from 12 -18 months to get ranked if you do zero SEO and content writing. So businesses would much rather pay for PPC advertising rather than have a blog and write content. I have been in business for the last 30 years and originally before the internet I resorted to the good old ‘Yellow Pages’ (remember the yellow book) to do advertising, then about ten years ago I did a stint of PPC advertising and found it too costly so I started learning alternative ways of advertising for free and I have not looked back since.

You need to be consistent with you content writing for search engines to recognise your website has new content. the more you write the quicker you will get on the first pages. My record time of getting on the first page was within 8 hours proof in the the link. I also manually submitt my pages to search engines and request they index them, using ‘Google Search Console’.

The higher a website ranks in search engines, the more traffic you will generate. The more visitors to come to your site the more potential sales and conversions or just more readers or fans.

SEO content-writing jobs are increasingly in demand being to advertise your availability will help to attract leads, there are a number of places you can advertise, such as Fiverr for starters or create your own site and advertise using your own platform.

What Is an SEO Copywriter?

An SEO copywriter is someone who can analyse keywords, use them in their content writing techniques and can write clearly and succinctly. As an example I am using the words ‘UK Content Writers’ in my title heading, in my permalink sub directory and am also using the exact match searchable keywords in the my domain name.

Skills Content Writers Have?

To be a proficient SEO writer, you must be able to do the following:

A content writer’s job is complex. Content writers need to be consise in their writing skills and need to be able to produce good spelling, grammar, punctuation, and tone of voice.

A content writer needs to draft a plan and manage deadlines, they need to know how and what they going to write about. The length of the article, normallly is decided by the client, although the more information you can give the more engaging your article will become.

How Do You Write SEO Articles?

SEO articles have to be original they cannot be copied or spinned they have to be creative and newsworth. The can be entertaining and need to grasp the audience attention. They have to have exact match searchable keywords and phrases relationg to the top written. They need to be research and well thought out. Writing articles needs a person that has a journalistic talent, that can work under pressure and to deadline. Anyone can be a content writer providing they are proficient in the English language. Writing content in other languages the person needs to write without spelling or grammar errors. A content writer similar to a journalist can write about any subject.

The best way to get started is to write on your own blog and then write on places such as reditt or quora. Write articles and then offer the posts as backlinks.

Guide to Domain Names, SEO & Marketing

Domain names are a fundamental component of the internet, allowing users to access websites and online services through easy-to-remember addresses. In simple terms, a domain name is a unique identifier that represents an internet address, helping users navigate to specific locations on the World Wide Web.

At its core, a domain name is a string of characters that identify a particular website or online resource. This string of characters can include letters, numbers, and hyphens, and is separated by dots. For example, in the domain name “,” “example” is the domain name, and “.com” is the top-level domain (TLD).

The use of domain names dates back to the early days of the internet when IP addresses were the primary means of identifying online resources. However, because IP addresses are long, difficult to remember, and prone to change, the Domain Name System (DNS) was created to simplify the process of accessing web-based resources.

The DNS system works by translating domain names into IP addresses, allowing users to access websites and other online resources using easy-to-remember domain names. This translation is performed by DNS servers, which maintain a database of domain names and their corresponding IP addresses.

Domain names are managed by organizations called domain name registrars, which are accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). These registrars allow individuals and organizations to register domain names, which can then be used to create websites or access other online resources.

When registering a domain name, users can choose from a wide range of TLDs, including generic TLDs like .com, .net, and .org, as well as country-code TLDs like .us, .uk, and .au. The choice of TLD can have an impact on a website’s search engine rankings, as well as its perceived credibility and trustworthiness.

In addition to TLDs, domain names can also include subdomains, which are essentially extensions of the main domain name. For example, in the domain name “,” “blog” is the subdomain, “example” is the main domain, and “.com” is the TLD.

Domain names play a critical role in the functioning of the internet, allowing users to easily access websites and other online resources. By registering a domain name, individuals and organizations can create a unique online identity and establish a presence on the World Wide Web. As the internet continues to evolve, the importance of domain names is likely to grow, making them an essential part of the online landscape for years to come.

The Importance of Exact Match Domain Names

Exact match domain names (EMDs) are domain names that exactly match a keyword or phrase that someone might use to search for your website or business. For example, if you run a website that has website design services you make go for a domain name if you are located in the UK, an exact match domain name might be The importance of exact-match domain names has been a topic of debate among SEO professionals for years, but there are several reasons why they can be valuable.

First and foremost, an exact match domain name can help improve your search engine rankings. When someone searches for a particular keyword or phrase, search engines like Google will often look for websites that have that exact keyword or phrase in their domain name. This means that if your domain name is an exact match for the keyword you’re targeting, you may have a better chance of ranking higher in the search results.

In addition to improving your search engine rankings, an exact-match domain name can also help improve your click-through rate. When someone sees a domain name that exactly matches what they’re searching for, they’re more likely to click on it because they assume it’s exactly what they’re looking for. This can result in more traffic to your website and potentially more conversions.

Another benefit of using an exact-match domain name is that it can help establish your brand and make it easier for people to remember your website. If your domain name is something that’s easy to remember and exactly matches what you’re offering, people are more likely to come back to your website in the future. This can help build trust and loyalty among your audience, which can lead to more sales and revenue over time.

However, it’s important to note that while exact-match domain names can be valuable, they’re not a guarantee of success. Just because you have an exact match domain name doesn’t mean your website will automatically rank higher in the search results or generate more traffic. You still need to focus on creating high-quality content, building high-quality backlinks, and using other SEO strategies to help improve your rankings and drive traffic to your website.

It’s also worth noting that some SEO professionals believe that exact-match domain names are becoming less important as search engines become more sophisticated. In the past, search engines heavily relied on domain names to determine the relevance of a website to a particular keyword or phrase. However, today, search engines use a wide range of factors to determine a website’s relevance, including the content on the page, the quality of the backlinks, and the overall user experience.

Exact-match domain names can be a valuable asset for your website and business, but they’re not a silver bullet for SEO success. While having an exact match domain name can help improve your search engine rankings, it’s just one piece of the puzzle. To succeed in SEO, you need to focus on creating high-quality content, building high-quality backlinks, and using a wide range of other strategies to improve your website’s relevance and authority in the eyes of search engines.

Why do exact-match searchable keyword domain names matter?

There are several reasons why exact-match searchable keyword domain names matter for SEO and online visibility.

First, when a domain name includes the exact keywords that someone might use to search for a particular product or service, it can help that website rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs). This is particularly true for local businesses, where having a domain name that includes the city or region can help establish a local presence and build trust with local customers.

Exact-match searchable keyword domain names can be difficult to obtain. Many of these domain names are already taken, and it can be expensive to purchase a domain name from someone else who owns it.

If a website has a domain name that exactly matches a keyword, it’s important to also include other relevant keywords and phrases in the website’s content and metadata to avoid appearing overly optimized.

An exact match searchable keyword domain name may not be as memorable or brandable as a more creative or unique domain name. While an exact match searchable keyword domain name can help with SEO and online visibility, it may not be as effective at building brand recognition and loyalty, thus it is recommended that you have a brandable name link it with an (EMD).

How many characters a domain should have for search engine optimization?

In the world of online marketing and search engine optimization (SEO), every aspect of a website plays a crucial role in determining its visibility and success. When it comes to selecting a domain name, its character length is a factor that should not be overlooked. In this article, we will explore the importance of domain name length for SEO and provide insights into finding the ideal character count that balances branding, user experience, and search engine friendliness.

The Impact of Domain Name Length on SEO:

  1. Memorability and Branding: A shorter domain name tends to be more memorable, making it easier for users to recall and share with others. A concise and catchy domain name can contribute to brand recognition and enhance your online presence.
  2. User Experience: Long and complex domain names can be challenging for users to type accurately or remember. Users prefer shorter and simpler URLs that are easy to understand and enter into their browsers, leading to improved user experience and increased traffic.
  3. Search Engine Friendliness: Search engines take into account several factors when ranking websites, including domain name relevance. While there is no fixed ideal length, shorter domain names are generally considered more favorable by search engines. Shorter URLs tend to have higher click-through rates in search engine results pages (SERPs), as they appear more concise and credible.

Balancing Domain Name Length and SEO:

  1. Concise and Relevant: Aim for a domain name that accurately reflects your brand and incorporates relevant keywords, while keeping it as concise as possible. A balance must be struck between being descriptive and keeping the character count manageable.
  2. Avoid Excessive Length: Lengthy domain names can appear cluttered and dilute your brand’s impact. They may also be cut off or truncated in search engine results, reducing their visibility and click-through rates.
  3. Consider Branding and Marketability: While search engine optimization is essential, it’s crucial to prioritize branding and marketability. A domain name that resonates with your target audience, conveys your brand’s personality, and is memorable can have long-term benefits beyond SEO.
  4. Avoid Hyphens and Numbers: The use of hyphens or numbers in a domain name can make it harder for users to remember and type accurately. Additionally, search engines tend to devalue domains with an abundance of hyphens as they are sometimes associated with spammy or low-quality websites.
  5. Research and Test: Before finalizing a domain name, conduct thorough research and test its potential impact. Consider user feedback, conduct surveys, and gather data on user preferences to ensure the chosen domain name resonates well with your target audience.

While there is no one-size-fits-all answer an ultimate guide should be a domain of no more than 20 characters as an ideal character count. Striking a balance between branding, user experience, and search engine optimization is crucial. A concise and relevant domain name is more likely to be memorable, user-friendly, and receive better visibility in search engine results. Prioritize your brand’s identity and consider user preferences when selecting a domain name, while keeping in mind the potential SEO benefits of a shorter and more concise URL.

Multiple Websites in SEO Link Wheels

What are SEO Link Wheels

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a vital aspect of digital marketing. It involves a set of techniques that help websites rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) by optimizing their content, structure, and other elements. One of the most effective techniques used in SEO is link building. Link building is the process of acquiring links from other websites to your site. The links act as “votes” of confidence, indicating to search engines that your website is a credible and authoritative source of information. One of the strategies used in link building is the creation of link wheels.

A link wheel is a group of websites that are interconnected by links to form a “wheel.” The main goal of a link wheel is to improve the search engine ranking of a particular website. Link wheels are created by building a series of sites, each linking to the next site in the chain and finally linking back to the target site. This creates a loop or a “wheel” of links.

The concept of link wheels is based on the idea that search engines consider links from other websites to be a measure of the quality and relevance of a website. When a website receives a link from a reputable website, it is considered to be more credible and authoritative. The more links a website receives from other sites, the higher its ranking will be in search engine results pages.

The process of creating a link wheel starts by identifying a group of websites that are relevant to the target website. The websites should have a similar theme or topic to the target website. The next step is to create content for each of the sites in the link wheel. The content should be relevant, informative, and high-quality. The content can be in the form of articles, blog posts, videos, or other types of media.

Once the content is created, the next step is to create links between the sites in the link wheel. Each site should link to the next site in the chain and finally link back to the target site. The links should be contextual and relevant to the content on the site. The anchor text used in the links should also be relevant to the target site.

One of the benefits of using link wheels is that they can help to improve the search engine ranking of a website quickly. When a link wheel is created correctly, it can create a network of high-quality backlinks that can help to improve the credibility and authority of a website. However, it is essential to note that link wheels are not a long-term strategy. They are designed to give a website a quick boost in rankings, and they should be used in conjunction with other SEO techniques. When used correctly, link wheels can be an effective tool in your SEO arsenal.

Benefits of having multiple websites and blogs

The benefits of having multiple websites and blogs are to drive traffic from different directions.

  1. Diversify your traffic sources: By creating multiple websites and blogs, you can diversify your traffic sources and reduce your reliance on any one platform. This is particularly important if you rely heavily on one platform for traffic, such as social media or search engines. If that platform changes its algorithms or policies, you could see a significant drop in traffic. Having multiple websites and blogs helps to mitigate this risk.
  2. Reach different audiences: Each website and blog can be tailored to a specific audience or niche. By doing so, you can reach a wider range of potential customers or readers. For example, if you run a company that offers both B2B and B2C services, you could create separate websites for each audience to better target your messaging and offerings.
  3. Improve SEO: Having multiple websites and blogs can also improve your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. By creating targeted content for each website or blog, you can optimize it for specific keywords and phrases. This can help improve your search engine rankings and drive more traffic to your sites.

Domain Valuation

Domain valuation is the process of determining the monetary value of a domain name. A domain name is an essential component of any website as it serves as a website’s unique identifier on the internet. The value of a domain name can vary widely depending on factors such as length, brand-ability, search engine optimization (SEO) potential, and market demand.

There are several methods that can be used to determine the value of a domain name. The most common methods include the market-based approach, the income-based approach, and the cost-based approach.

The market-based approach is the most widely used method for domain valuation. This approach looks at comparable domain sales to determine the value of a domain name. This method takes into account the prices paid for similar domain names in recent sales transactions. Domain sales databases such as DN Journal and NameBio are excellent resources for researching recent domain sales.

The income-based approach is another method used for domain valuation. This approach looks at the potential revenue that a domain name could generate through advertising, affiliate marketing, or other monetization methods. The value of a domain name is then determined by estimating the net present value of the expected cash flows, the domain could project.

The cost-based approach is the third method used for domain valuation. This approach looks at the cost of registering or acquiring a domain name, including any development or marketing expenses associated with the domain. The value of the domain name is then determined by adding a premium to the cost of acquiring or registering the domain name.

In addition to these methods, there are other factors that can influence the value of a domain name. One of the most important factors is the length of the domain name. Short, memorable domain names are typically more valuable than longer, less memorable domain names. Brandability is another important factor that can influence the value of a domain name. A domain name that is easy to remember, spell, and pronounce, and that conveys a strong brand image, will typically be more valuable than a domain name that is less brandable.

SEO potential is also an influential factor that can determine the value of a domain name. A domain name that contains keywords relevant to a particular industry or niche can help improve search engine rankings, which can drive more traffic to the website and increase its value.

Finally, market demand is another important factor that can influence the value of a domain name. Domain names that are in high demand due to their relevance to a particular industry or niche can command premium prices, especially if there are multiple potential buyers interested in acquiring the domain name.

Domain valuation is an important process for anyone looking to buy or sell a domain name. There are several methods for determining the value of a domain name, including the market-based approach, the income-based approach, and the cost-based approach. In addition to these methods, factors such as domain length, brand-ability, SEO potential, and market demand can also influence the value of a domain name. By understanding these factors and using the appropriate valuation methods, buyers and sellers can ensure that they are getting a fair price for a domain name.

What is perceived and raw equity for domain names

The concept of equity refers to the value and influence a domain name has over its audience, search engines, and potential buyers. There are two types of equity associated with domain names: perceived equity and raw equity.

Perceived equity refers to the subjective value of a domain name, as perceived by its audience. This value is often influenced by factors such as brand recognition, brand association, marketing efforts, and the overall reputation of the domain name. Perceived equity is often difficult to quantify, as it is based on the perceptions of individuals and can change over time.

Raw equity, on the other hand, refers to the objective value of a domain name based on its intrinsic properties, such as its age, length, keywords, and search engine rankings. Raw equity is easier to quantify than perceived equity, as it is based on objective data that can be analyzed and compared.

In general, a domain name with high perceived equity will also have high raw equity. However, there can be cases where a domain name has high raw equity but low perceived equity. For example, a domain name that is highly ranked by search engines but has little brand recognition or association may have high raw equity but low perceived equity.

Similarly, a domain name with high perceived equity but low raw equity may be highly valued by its audience, but have few intrinsic properties that make it valuable. In this case, the value of the domain name may be more subjective and based on factors such as emotional attachment, nostalgia, or cultural significance.

Ultimately, both perceived and raw equity are important factors to consider when assessing the value of a domain name. While raw equity can be easier to quantify and analyze, perceived equity can also play a crucial role in determining the overall value of a domain name, especially in cases where the domain name has a strong brand association or cultural significance.
