Domain Name Content Writing:

I get asked to broker domain names and this is how I answer:

  1. Build Equity
  2. Design Branding
  3. Develop the domain name
  4. Search Engine Optimise (SEO) the domain name
  5. Use social media to market and advertise your domain
  6. Write regular content on your landing page
  7. Generate Organic traffic
  8. Get Your Domain on the First Page of Search Engines.
  9. Network with your connections
  10. Sell on Aftermarkets

When selling a digital asset such as domain name unless it is a one-word dot com the chances of it selling are slim, therefore you need to list your domain on aftermarkets and auctions where domain investors hang out but in most cases, your domains just stay stationary not doing anything.

Prior to optimising each domain name on my books I too am guilty of having a marketplace that simply showcased domain names and nothing more. I have since taken the app down. I now perform a more complex seo strategy that take a lot of time and effort which includes consistant articles about the keywords in question.

I will tell you the story of someone a few days ago who asked me to sell a (UK+Keyword) domain name. He came to me simply offering the domain name. It was not developed but simply mentioned on his landing page, the keywords were not even mentioned in his sub-directory and the domain was not generating traffic so I politely declined his offer.

I get it, I see that a domain name immediately is worth more the moment someone buys it because they will increase the value for a re-sell. So anyone saying but it was hand registered for says $10 then it must not be worth a cent more is mistaken. This is actually incorrect it was worth $10 when it was available, it is worth more now because it has raw equity and has an owner. If you wanted it for $10 you should have been quick off the mark and bought it when you had the opportunity, so now it is worth more.

Domain names, unless they have been branded, developed, are selling a product, selling advertising space or a service, or have financial private equity firms investing in them are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them.

Consistency.

As with everything in business, one needs to be consistent with marketing and advertising to get exposure. It does not matter if you are selling houses or cars you still have to advertise and you still have to do content writing.

How are people going to know your domain exists if it is simply listed on saturated aftermarkets?

The same goes with your website, business, product or services, how will people know you are trading if you do not put yourself out there?

If you cannot write content then hire a content writer, you can either hire us or hire someone off Fiverr, just follow the link below.

Keep your business moving forward

What is Content Writing.

Website Content Writing.

All businesses in all sectors need an element of content writing, from the content on their websites to their marketing and advertising campaigns. Not only this content writing is an every day occurrence within internal communications. You could employ a person specifically for the job or outsource the work per assignment/project.

To get your websites ranked you have to write content on a regular basis get backlinks and perform SEO, marketing, and advertising strategies. This is an ongoing task that has to be maintained regulary.

Articles.

In reality, all businesses need content writers. Every business needs exposure and the only way they can get it is if articles are published mentioning them. All businesses should have a blog so that they can write about their products and services. Sometimes it is hard to churn out information hence why hiring a content writer eases the pressure and lets you get on with other things.

Advertising.

Depending on your budget and the cost of the campaign you may choose to use an advertising agency to write your content for you. Advertising agencies advertise your brand in editorials and online. The same goes with branding you need content writers to write your brochures and press releases. Usuallly you can find an agency that does all this and more so you do not have to outsource your work to multiple freelancers or companies. A good marketing agecy will take care of your website, adverting and marketing.

Selling Real Estate you have to design the promotional brochure create the text and write about the property you are selling. Physical Real Estate or Digital the same principle applies. You need to make your property appealing to entice prospective buyers.

What Is SEO?

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” SEO is the process of making sure that your website is indexed, and ranked and its content is easy to find in search results.

What Is SEO Writing?

SEO writing is a strategy used to promote you business, products and services, usually using multiple channels. This could be in the form of a n SEO Linkwheel, advertising and marketing on social media platforms, pages and groups aswell s networking.. A highly visible website with good content appears on the first few pages of results when someone searches for the keywords and phrases.

Why Is SEO Content Writing Important?

If you have just launched your business, your website may take anything from 12 -18 months to get ranked if you do zero SEO and content writing. So businesses would much rather pay for PPC advertising rather than have a blog and write content. I have been in business for the last 30 years and originally before the internet I resorted to the good old ‘Yellow Pages’ (remember the yellow book) to do advertising, then about ten years ago I did a stint of PPC advertising and found it too costly so I started learning alternative ways of advertising for free and I have not looked back since.

You need to be consistent with you content writing for search engines to recognise your website has new content. the more you write the quicker you will get on the first pages. My record time of getting on the first page was within 8 hours proof in the the link. I also manually submitt my pages to search engines and request they index them, using ‘Google Search Console’.

The higher a website ranks in search engines, the more traffic you will generate. The more visitors to come to your site the more potential sales and conversions or just more readers or fans.

SEO content-writing jobs are increasingly in demand being to advertise your availability will help to attract leads, there are a number of places you can advertise, such as Fiverr for starters or create your own site and advertise using your own platform.

What Is an SEO Copywriter?

An SEO copywriter is someone who can analyse keywords, use them in their content writing techniques and can write clearly and succinctly. As an example I am using the words ‘UK Content Writers’ in my title heading, in my permalink sub directory and am also using the exact match searchable keywords in the my domain name.

Skills Content Writers Have?

To be a proficient SEO writer, you must be able to do the following:

Plan
Research
Write
Edit
Review

A content writer’s job is complex. Content writers need to be consise in their writing skills and need to be able to produce good spelling, grammar, punctuation, and tone of voice.

A content writer needs to draft a plan and manage deadlines, they need to know how and what they going to write about. The length of the article, normallly is decided by the client, although the more information you can give the more engaging your article will become.

How Do You Write SEO Articles?

SEO articles have to be original they cannot be copied or spinned they have to be creative and newsworth. The can be entertaining and need to grasp the audience attention. They have to have exact match searchable keywords and phrases relationg to the top written. They need to be research and well thought out. Writing articles needs a person that has a journalistic talent, that can work under pressure and to deadline. Anyone can be a content writer providing they are proficient in the English language. Writing content in other languages the person needs to write without spelling or grammar errors. A content writer similar to a journalist can write about any subject.

The best way to get started is to write on your own blog and then write on places such as reditt or quora. Write articles and then offer the posts as backlinks.

Practice makes perfect...

Disclaimer: Anyone reading this article, please refrain from offering logo or website design services. We are not interested and we have our own team, we also do not outsource. Please avoid doing a whois annd contacting our registrar.

Small businesses in order to innovate and grow need cash injections and may seek to acquire capital (equity investment) from external sources such as banks or private equity firms that provide export credit finance. Typically companies may reach out to venture capital to expand, break into new markets, and grow faster or vice versa.

Export Credit Financiers will use venture capital hedge funds to secure a large part of companies funding namely institutional investors will invest if they can see a return on their investment (ROI) and they usually invest large amounts into firms with the potential for rapid growth.

On the other hand, when it comes to startups many investors may be apprehensive to invest in small-medium startups because of the high risks and transaction costs. A good business plan has to be shown to show perceived equity and growth potential.

Ventures EU Valuation:

Calculation: £2.20 bid x 10K potential clicks = £220,000 x 24 months for your website to be indexed and ranked and visible on the first page of search engines = £5,280,000 divided by a 3% click-through ratio = £158,400 in PPC advertising. Which is how much the base price of the domain is worth excluding equity which would make the domain increase in value.

EQUITY

However, if the domain has equity and has the following:

  • Branding
  • Offering products or services
  • Is Developed and is Generating Traffic
  • Is selling advertising space

The domain name then increases in value if it has equity.

This domain already is generating traffic and has affiliate links so by taking down article for the domain name we would lose an income stream. If on the other hand we develop it and offer advertising space this in itself would have monetary value.

Typos & Domain Names

Typos & Domain Names!
Keep your business moving forward

Typos and Domain Names.

Typos, everyone does them, and depending on what it is you are writing is what will affect the final outcome. If it is a simple text or informal letter people are understanding and with a little banter will soon forget it, but if you have to write a business document or an article, typos can be deemed as unprofessional.

Nowadays you have software that highlights the misspelled words, as I have for all my WordPress sites. But when it comes to editing images Photoshop and Grammarly do not seem to work together.

Someone such as myself suffers from cognitive impairment because of my diagnosed cerebellar atrophy, I sometimes muddle my words or omit them entirely out of sentences even though I am adamant that I had recited the entire sentence in my head but what results looks nothing like what I wrote.

By coincidence this week I had a ding dong with a marketing competitor on Linkedin who pointed out a typo for a local pizza guy domain name. I wrote about this to air my opinion on my other site: https://marketingagency.cymrumarketing.com/2022/04/26/disagreeing-with-your-competitor/

Typos won’t ruin you but can be costly.

When you have for example merchandise or advertising banners as in the case of the ‘Pizza Guy’ one cannot go back and complain when the typo was in plain sight before it went to the printers. I keep referring to the pizza guy who had the letters SH#T in his pizza domain name. This is similar to Gerald Ratner saying the word CR#P about his jewelry not in good light, only to lose his millions literally overnight.

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2009/mar/07/gerald-ratner-interview

Geralds’s Famous Last Words “Total Cr#p”, cost him his business.

Mistakes Can Be Costly!

Depending on the situation and typo that has occurred will determine the death of your marketing campaign.

As I said before I suffer from cerebellar atrophy and cognitive impairment and similarly to dyslexia, I can see the word in front of me and in my head it looks correct but in reality it is wrong.

So when I did my marketing campaign on Linkedin and shared it with all the social media channels it was only after I had slept on it and shared it again that I noticed many typos.

I was promoting a portfolio of domain names and it cost me a lot of views.

The thing was once you upload it to LinkedIn I could not find a way to edit and replace the image without deleting the post and starting over.

As a consequence, it cost me my time and possibly any potential inquiries because I had misspelled the domain extensions.

The problem was I was editing in Photoshop and although I have Grammarly, it does not work on Photoshop so did not pick up the error and my proofreader by coincidence is away this weekend.

I literally wanted to cry”.

For content that has a short life, a typo might hurt or harm engagement temporarily if one can rectify the typo quickly.

However, if you are registering domain names and you misspell your domain after it has gone through checkout, you are then left with a worthless domain and a few dollars/pounds lighter in your pocket for not noticing the error. Yes, I am guilty of this also and I sometimes do not have a proofreader on hand when I spontaneously buy domain names.

A typo can hurt your brand if you have paid for all the marketing, advertising, and merchandise branding. If the public gets wind of the typo they will laugh at the error just as they laughed at “Gerald Ratner’s” joke about a prawn sandwich lasting longer than his jewelry, but the damage has was done and in the case of Gerald somewhat 30 years later his mistake is still talked about.

Spelling and grammatical errors or in the case of the pizza guy someone thinking it funny to share a photo of a market stall with the domain name, highlighting the letters, and then sharing it across social media was done in bad taste (no pun intended).

This PR stunt made by a marketing company in the same city I am from would have gained a few clicks but because the marketing agency did not link the pizza guys’ business and only shared the image showed me they were not marketing the company and only taking the p#ss for their own advantage.

If they had used their two penneth they could have reached out to him with another domain name. He would still use his business name as the slogan or tagline but have a shorter domain that people would not laugh at.

Mistakes such as audible innuendos or typos can make your company look unprofessional and drive potential customers away.

The definition of a typo.

The definition of a typo is a typographical error made either handwritten, typed on a computer, or printed in the form of a word document, image (infographic), or branding. It can also be a spelling error in the domain name.

Are typos a big deal? Depending if the typo is a massive advertising branding campaign rather than an informal note, email, or text message will determine if the error can be rectified without costing the company money and losing credibility.

I always tell people every opportunity I get about cerebellar atrophy which I try to educate people about. I have got a mini bio on most of my about me pages that I suffer from this and how it affects my life.

If you do not have a proofreader you can usually find someone on Fiverr providing you are not in a hurry as I was yesterday posting my article which I now have a problem rectifying. Hopefully, people will visit the link within my article and will see the amendment. It is time-consuming, frustrating, and disheartening knowing you have made all this effort only to spot a typo a few hours later.

Here is the rectified image, if you compare it to the LinkedIn post you will see the difference, not that it matters now, we are only human after all.

Content Writing For SEO.

Keep your business moving forward

Content Writing For SEO.

Whether you are building a website, blog, or have marketing campaigns you have to think about content. Content writing plays a fundamental role in Search Engine Optimisation. If you build a website with a set and forget notion your site will not get ranked. In order for your site to get on the first pages of search engines, you have to write quality articles and perform SEO.

SEO.

I have forty-plus strategies I use to get my websites and articles indexed and ranked. The fastest I have had anything ever get on the first page of Google was yesterday when I wrote an article and within eight hours it was on the first page.

Sometimes you have to be persistent because even though I do upload my pages and articles to Google Search Console where I think the pages and articles have been added I come back a few weeks later only to find they have not. This can cost me money as I have started adding affiliate links to all my posts.

  1. Create a Keyword Domain Name (Use searchable words and phrases) You can use a brandable name, but you should also forward an exact match searchable keyword or phrase domain name to your default site.
  2. Change the (Home Page) (Title) to Match the exact match searchable keyword or phrase Domain Name. (Search engines do not like (Home) as the name of your first page.
  3. Add the exact match searchable keyword or phrase into the header of your website, this must be readable and not embedded into an image.
  4. Generate Sitemaps
  5. Upload Sitemaps and your website to Google Search Console
  6. Generate Robot txt
  7. Upload Robot txt to your website back office
  8. Generate Href Tags
  9. Upload Href Tags to your website back office
  10. Create a Gmail email that you will use to manage your business, use that same email for all Google Products and Services
  11. Generate Meta Tags
  12. Generate Google Tag Manager
  13. Upload Google Tag Manager to your website back office
  14. Upload Meta Tags to your website back office (Add relevant keywords)
  15. Add an HTML Tag to your website back office
  16. Add Google Analytics (to track your visitors)
  17. Add your Business to Google Business Directory (Google will rank you better for doing this)
  18. Upload to Search Engines
  19. Verify your website with Google Search Console formerly known as Google Webmaster.
  20. Verify your website with Bing Webmaster
  21. Add a cookie banner (required by law)
  22. Add a cookie policy (required by law)
  23. Add terms and conditions (required by law)
  24. Add a privacy policy (required by law)
  25. Add favicons
  26. Check Canolization
  27. Create a Facebook Page to Match your Brandable Website Domain Name and connect the two together.
  28. Create a Facebook Page to exact match the searchable keyword of the phrase domain name.
  29. Invite your Friends and Family on Facebook to like your page.
  30. Create a LinkedIn Page to March your Website and connect the two together
  31. Link your social media to your social media widgets e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (Do not use a personal social media account set up a business one instead.
  32. Add Schema Mark-up to your website back office and upload it.
  33. Ping your site so that search engines get a signal your website is active, using pingmyurl.com
  34. Regularly add new content to your site so that Search Engines can rank you quickly. (A blog is the easiest option).
  35. Create an SEO link Wheel and have more than one site blog pointing to your business
  36. Create Backlinks by linking your site to Directories, Classified Sites, Forums, and blogs on other websites. https://respona.com/blog/what-is-a-backlink/
  37. Check your website is looking good on the mobile and tablet before publishing (Make sure it is responsive and all images and text are readable and do not fall off the page.
  38. Make sure your website has a lot of text content using relevant keywords you would want to be targeted for.
  39. Get people to subscribe to your email list.
  40. Network with people in your industry.
  41. Advertise on Social Media Pages and Groups.
  42. Configure your site for Htaccess.
  43. Remove the web builder footer link that says website powered by WordPress, Wix, Shopify, and WordPress Themes, etc (it does not look professional, and first impressions count). If people think you have built the site yourself they will think you have not had the money to pay for a website designer which damages the credibility of your brand.

My Services.

I am happy giving people the list of things to do but if you want help configuring your site and you are unable to do it yourself I can help you but at a charge. I am happy to point you in the right direction but you need to do the hard work to get your website/blog/articles indexed and ranked.

Writing Content.

An exact match searchable keyword or phrase domain name plays just a small part in SEO and it is usually the content that gives you brownie points and gets your websites/blogs/articles indexed and ranked.

I will give you an example my static set and forget website www.ukwebsitedesigners.co.uk was nowhere to be seen until I created a page and started adding backlinks: https://ukwebsitedesigners.co.uk/our-blogs/ I am now pleased to say it is on the first page of Google because the search engine can see I am making changes.

Your content does not have to be pages long but it does need between 300 and 600 words. Your set and forget websites need to have a blog or a page with backlinks.

Share your content on social media, the algorithms will be able to track this and it all helps to get you traffic.

I have embedded my “Complete SEO” (e-book) PDF for you to download.

Likes.com Domain Name For Sale.

Renata alongside Michael Dooner from DoonersDomains.com is jointly brokering the domain name (www.likes.com)

From past experience, I have learned, be it an affiliate program or a content writing article and being rejected or simply someone going cold on what you have to offer, is to do something that is unexpected and think outside the box so to speak.

What I mean by this is, say for instance you have an article that was declined or a book publisher not signing you, one does the opposite and self publishes or starts their own site.

This goes with anything in life we all want to be appreciated and get (likes). No one wants rejection, hence when an opportunity arises create something and leave your competitors standing.

So reading the latest trends and news on ‘Elon Musk’ who wants to acquire Twitter, with all the controversy surrounding this, it would be far better to start his own social media platform and have the domain name (Likes.com).

At UK Domain Brokers we could build a social media platform for Elon or anyone else wanting to acquire this domain.

There is a reserve price for this domain name and we will disclose it within our communication.

The development would be separate from the cost of buying the domain name and UK Domain Brokers/ UK Website Designers would handle all the PR and advertising.

I am going to contact ‘Elon Musk’ this afternoon with the proposal.

Imagine how much money he could save trying to acquire Twitter and have them left out in the cold whilst putting the rest of his Billions into helping the environment and the starving children in this world. He would then have sole control of his own social media platform and give his competitors a run for their money.

I have performed SEO on this article this afternoon and uploaded it manually to Google Search Console, so hopefully, in the next few days, this article will be generating traffic.

Anyone interested in the domain (Likes.com) should use the form below to contact us.

Visit Qatar – Saudi Domain Names

Visit Qatar – Saudi Domain Names Marketing Strategies

I have previously written about Sovereign Domain Names and what it means to domain investors wishing to buy and sell domain names that may be trademarked or prohibited by a sovereign state.

Before Buying and Selling Domains that have the name of the country, state, county, town or village make sure they are free from sovereignty.

Not all countries are equal or have the same rule, for instance, one can register and trade a domain name in the UK such as (as UK Domain Brokers or UK Website Designers) or in Wales (Cymru Marketing) but in other countries such as UAE, the rules may be a little trickier.

So it is no surprise that I read today that the domain name www.visitqatar.com (Free Backlink – You’re Welcome) has gone through the mill and the domain investor lost ownership.

What I would have done in the domain investors position is offered my marketing and SEO services which would have been worth more than the domain name itself. After all, with a little know how there is a way to increase or block traffic for any specific domain name that has already been integrated with Search Engines.

Simply forwarding a domain name to an existing site you will just be generating old traffic and capturing it when someone physically types the URL into the search bar. You will not gain any new traffic by this method unless you develop a new site or subfolder and perform SEO.

I would have covered the site with Qatar Affiliate Links which would have proven beneficial to Qatar, would have eliminated all the hard work a marketing agency would have had to do or website designer, and would have shown credibility, that the domain investor was promoting Qatar with his affiliate marketing campaigns. This way the domain investor would have been helping Qatar with their marketing as I am doing now to a certain degree.

I do not know what the site looked like before to actually comment and if the domain investor was merely expecting someone to buy the domain rather than actually work in partnership then there is nothing more to be said.

In order to generate more traffic rather than merely point the domain to the existing site, I personally would build an “SEO Link Wheel” and expand the site to have a subdomain of sub-directory and add more content. I would split the marketing of both domain names, this essentially would then bring in two lots of traffic.

In terms of SEO, a ‘Domain Name’ plays a small part in generating traffic.

It is usually the content that brings in the eyeballs.

As an example, I could have a sub-directory on a website that is already indexed and ranked and has a MOZ domain authority of less than (30), and in the case of anything, I write I create sub-directories. (It is the sub-directory titles that help to generate the traffic as well as the content on the articles I write).

Hence I would not necessarily need the domain name for the keywords “Visit Qatar” to get on the first page of a search engine but more so the sub-directory title of my own website and domain name and I know working my magic I could get traffic. So I would have the domain investors place have negotiated my marketing efforts.

In fact, not so long ago I got someone on the first page of Google without actually having a domain name/website. What I did was create a subdirectory category landing page, performed SEO added the keywords and meta descriptions, and manually uploaded the page to Google Search Console within a matter of days the landing page and the person’s name and business were on the first page.

Sovereign Domain Names.

I do have on my books domain names appertaining to the middle east and it is my SEO and marketing that will make the domains valuable and not the domain names themselves.

As an example I have a subdirectory called Neom Domain Names, it is on the first page of Google for the search terms, in fact, I have two listings. These domain names are not mine, I am simply brokering them, but with no inquiries, this means what I think it means is that the names will be classed as sovereign and no one wants to touch them.

So any business in the UAE could buy the domains or in certain cases acquire them by dispute resolution but the fact remains without SEO and marketing the domain names are worthless even to the powers that be.

If the powers that be can read this then it is worth noting if the person/company that can get the keywords on the first page of search engines successfully using content marketing strategies should be rewarded for their efforts.

Note From The Editor

For me, I can promote the keywords “Visit Qatar” as I am affiliated with “Qatar Airlines”.

It will be interesting if the dot com version of the domain name is visible on search results, which I highly doubt unless another site or subdomain or directory is built and it will be interesting to see how well my content marketing performs. Only time will tell.

**If you think my marketing speaks volumes and I am doing something right, please get in touch with me and I help you to connect the east with the west.
